  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 tablespoon chai spice blend
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 teaspoons chai spice blend (for glaze)
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract (for glaze)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt (for glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 46 tablespoons heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a skillet over medium heat until dark amber, then transfer to a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat together browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, chai spice blend, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture until just combined.
  4. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  5. Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheets, flattening slightly.
  6. Bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, chai spice blend, vanilla extract, maple syrup, and heavy cream until smooth.
  8. Once cookies are cooled, drizzle or dunk in the glaze.
