  • 4 salmon filets (6 oz each)
  • 2/3 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • Optional garnishes: sesame seeds, red pepper flakes, chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by mixing cornstarch with water in a bowl. Combine with orange juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  2. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with oiled foil.
  3. Place salmon filets skin-side down on the baking sheet and baste with half of the sauce.
  4. Bake for 14 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily.
  5. Broil for one minute after basting with reserved sauce for a golden finish.
  6. Serve over rice and garnish as desired.
