  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a mixing bowl; set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add smoked sausage; cook until browned (about 5 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper; cook until pink (2–3 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  4. Steam broccoli in the same skillet with a splash of water for about 3–4 minutes until bright green.
  5. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet; pour in the honey garlic sauce. Stir to coat and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Serve hot over rice or quinoa.
