- 2 large apples, chopped
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
- sprinkle of lemon juice
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, cold
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter. Press into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake crust for 10 minutes; let cool. In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Mix in sugar, flour, sour cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until blended. Add eggs one at a time.
- Pour cheesecake filling over the cooled crust. Top with apples mixed with brown sugar and spices.
- Bake for about 50 minutes or until set in the center. Cool completely before refrigerating for at least 4 hours.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form; serve chilled bars topped with whipped cream and extra caramel.
