- 1 cup (207g) sugar
- 1/2 cup (57g) natural unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2/3 cup (153g) sour cream, room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 oz | 169g | 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted and slightly cooled
- 3 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 3/4 cups unsalted butter
- 1 cup (114g) natural unsweetened cocoa powder
- 6 cups (690g) powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- Pinch of salt
- 2 1/4 cups (380g) chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a springform pan.
- Mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Add milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and egg; mix until smooth. Stir in hot water.
- Divide the batter between two pans and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.
- Beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and cocoa powder, then mix in sour cream and vanilla extract. Add melted chocolate chips and eggs one at a time until just combined.
