  • 3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1/2 medium red onion, finely diced
  • 1 rib celery, finely diced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, finely diced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and cool under running water.
  2. In a bowl, mix together mayonnaise, mustard, vinegar, pepper, sugar, salt, garlic powder, and onion powder until smooth. Add diced vegetables.
  3. Combine cooled macaroni with half the dressing mixture in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  4. Before serving, add remaining dressing to the pasta and mix well. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
