Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb wild-caught shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest (from 1 lime)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (from that same lime)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ bunch cilantro, finely chopped
  • 3 cups finely shredded green cabbage
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt
  • Tortillas (8, corn or flour)
  • Sliced avocado

Instructions

  1. Prepare the shrimp marinade by mixing salt, pepper, spices, olive oil, lime zest, lime juice, honey, and cilantro in a bowl. Add the shrimp and marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine shredded cabbage, cilantro, Greek yogurt, and lime juice to make the creamy slaw.
  3. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook marinated shrimp for about 3–4 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  4. Warm tortillas in another skillet or microwave. Assemble tacos by placing shrimp on each tortilla followed by creamy slaw and avocado slices.
  5. Serve with extra lime wedges.
