  • 1 1/2 lb chicken breast
  • 12 oz gluten-free farfalle pasta
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 3 cups heavy cream
  • 12 oz shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp dry shallots
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Gluten Free 1:1 Flour
  • 1/4 cup pasta water

Instructions

  1. Boil the gluten-free farfalle pasta in a large pot according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta cooks, mix the seasonings together in a small bowl.
  3. Pound the chicken breast slightly and season both sides with the spice mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until browned. Cook through on medium-low heat for an additional 10–12 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. Remove chicken from the skillet and melt butter in the same pan. Add shallots, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning; simmer for one minute.
  6. Stir in flour, chicken broth, and heavy cream; whisk until smooth.
  7. Add shredded Parmesan cheese until melted and combined.
  8. Toss cooked pasta into the sauce; add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  9. Slice cooked chicken and mix it into the pasta before serving.
