- 1 Tbsp. softened butter
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 white onion, finely diced
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
- pepper, to taste
- 1 pack dinner rolls, 12 count
- 16 slices American cheese
- 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
- pinch of salt and garlic powder
- 2 tsp. white sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. distilled white vinegar
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Butter a baking sheet and set aside.
- In a sauté pan, heat olive oil and cook diced onions until softened. Add ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat.
- Mix in garlic, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Layer the bottom halves of dinner rolls on the baking sheet, followed by cheese slices and the beef mixture. Top with more cheese.
- Cover with roll tops and brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and salt. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until warmed through and cheese is melted.
- Prepare the burger sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, relish, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a bowl until smooth.
- Serve warm with your homemade burger sauce.
